The Nissan Murano

The Nissan Murano tops the list of midsize crossovers when it comes to luxury, technology and affordability. Since the launch of the Murano, Nissan kept it ahead of the competitors putting all the latest technology in it and Murano was first vehicle to offer a Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT) in its class. Car-like ride, spacious interior, powerful V6 engine and distinctive styling also makes it a populer choice. The second-generation Murano looks more classier and gets a refined transmission.

The Nissan Murano comes offers two engine choices a 2.5-litre four-cylinder diesel and a 3.5-litre V6 petrol. The 2.5-litre diesel engine produces 187 horsepower and 331 lb-ft of torque and can reach 0-60mph in 10.2 seconds. The 3.5 V6 petrol engine produces 252 horsepower and 246 lb-ft of torque and can sprint from zero to sixty in 7.8 seconds. Maximum speed of the diesel engine is 122mph while the petrol can reach up to 130 mph. The standard gearbox is a CVT automatic – a continuously variable transmission. The four wheel drive system comes into action when the front wheels starts slipping.
