The Koleos is result of global alliance between Renault and Nissan. The Renault Koleos is a five-seat, four door SUV based on Nissan X-Trail available as front-wheel-drive and four-wheel-drive. As Renault claims it drives like a sedan, it does drive well on-road rather than off-road. The Renault Koleos top the list in its class when it comes to comfort and refinement. With tight turning circle and light steering the Renault Koleos is easy to park and drive around the city.
The Renault Koleos comes with two engine options; 150bhp and 175bhp dCi 2.0-litre turbodiesel engines, though only top end variants of Koleos gets the powerful 175bhp engine. The 150bhp engine produces 320 lb-ft torque and can reach up-tp 111 mph of maximum speed, it consumes 31 mph in the city and 45 mpg on the highway. The 175 bhp engine with 360 lb-ft of torque have maximum speed of 117 mph and achieves 30 mph in the city and 43 mph on the highway. The six-speed manual gearbox is smooth to operate but response is bit slow. An option of automatic gearbox is also available with the all-wheel drive models.

The top spec Privilege models adds a panoramic sunroof, leather upholstery, upgraded Bose stereo, satellite navigation and xenon headlights.

The Renault Koleos comes with all the necessary safety equipments as standard like twin front, side and curtain airbags, ESP, Isofix mounting points for two child seats.
Seating is comfortable in all five positions, even on very long trips. The front seats are supportive with plenty of adjustment. Adults might find rear legroom a little tight. The rear seats split 60/40 and fold flat. The boot is a decent size and the load area wide with 450 litres of luggage room. With the rear seats folded down the cargo room increases to 1,380 litres.
